Instructions
Remove the pits from the olives and slice them. Add the chopped onion, the spearmint and let the mixture rest for a while. Mix the flour with the water and baking powder into a bowl, add the olive oil and the olive mixture. Stir by hand until the dough becomes uniform. Grease a baking sheet with olive oil, place the dough and bake the olive pie for 60 minutes in 180˚ C. When the pie is cooked, sprinkle grated sfela cheese on top and serve.
Celebrations and special occasions:
The olive pie was easy and quick to prepare. During the olive harvest, it was the food which the villagers would take along as a snack to their olive groves.

The olive pie is rich in complex carbohydrates, fiber, vitamins and various trace elements. The addition of olives and extra virgin olive oil significantly increases its nutritional value.
