OLIVE NETS
Olive
nets are large pieces of cloth that are placed around the olive trees and are
used during the process of the olive harvest. Initially, they were linen and
woven on the loom. Nowadays, they have been replaced by plastic and mesh-like
cloths that are more lightweight and sturdy. After the harvest, the nets are washed
with lye, hot water and handmade soap to be clean ad ready for next year.
